Barbra Nyangairi is the Executive Director of DZT. She holds a Masters in Forced Migration, BSc in Public Administration & Diploma in Education. Barbra has written and conducted research on Deaf education, Access to Health for the Deaf & Sign language. Barbra has a keen interest in the empowerment of the Deaf and hard of hearing.She has experience in human rights, democracy, governance,elections, gender & education.

Gamuchirai is an accomplished Chartered secretary and administrator. She holds a Master’s degree in Accounting & Finance from Kingston University (UK) and BA Honours in Business Accounting from Oxford Brooks University (UK). She is also a graduate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA).

Precious promotes access to Sign Language for Deaf people in Zimbabwe through training Sign Language and providing interpretation services. She is proficient in Sign Language and has developed a Sign Language training module. Precious holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Marketing from the Institute of Marketing Management.

Paida holds a Bachelor of Science Honours in Psychology Degree from the University of Zimbabwe. Her work is centred on promoting the right to education for Deaf children. She also facilitates the production of the Deaf Bulletin and coordinates research and communication within the organization.

About DZT

Deaf Zimbabwe Trust was formed and registered as a trust in 2012 and began operations in 2013. Initially the organisation was formed to advance the rights of Deaf children.
